Background: Orthostatic hypotension (OH) is an important differential diagnosis in unexplained syncope. Neurogenic OH (nOH) has been postulated to differ from non-neurogenic OH (non-nOH), yet pathophysiological differences are largely unexplored. We aimed to investigate etiology and tilt table test (TTT)-induced hemodynamic responses in symptomatic OH patients.

Objective: To estimate the odds of new-onset cardiovascular events (CVEs) over 6 years in older people with vs without epilepsy, exploring how enzyme-inducing antiseizure medications (EIASMs) and traditional cardiovascular risk factors mediate these odds.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This was a prospective cohort study using the comprehensive cohort of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), with 6 years of follow-up (2015-2021, analysis performed in December 2023).

Objective: Temporal lobe epilepsy with hippocampal sclerosis (HS) is a surgically remediable syndrome. We determined temporal trends in the prevalence of hippocampal sclerosis surgeries and related factors.

Methods: We analysed a prospective cohort of adults who underwent epilepsy surgery at the NHNN, London, between 1990 and 2019.

Head-Up Tilt Sleeping to Treat Orthostatic Intolerance in a Patient with Advanced Parkinson's Disease: A Case Report.

Introduction: Orthostatic hypotension is common in people with Parkinson's disease (PD) due to autonomic dysfunction and medication use and can have a significant negative impact on quality of life. Pharmacological treatment is often complicated due to complex blood pressure regulation problems. This case report presents a patient whose symptoms of orthostatic intolerance were successfully treated with the non-pharmacological method of head-up tilt sleeping (HUTS).
