Radiographers' knowledge, clinical expertise and application of pain management strategies in the radiology department - results from a qualitative focus group.

Background: Radiographers are frequently involved in imaging patients in pain thus requiring a heightened awareness and focus on this crucial issue.

Purpose: To explore the challenges radiographers encounter when imaging patients in pain and to identify strategies that could be implemented to improve overall patient-centered care.

Methods: A qualitative research study with a single focus group (FG) was conducted using six radiographers working within Irish hospitals.

Physical activity guidelines targeting different populations with and without chronic diseases or disabilities are required to meet the diverse functional and physiological needs experienced by different subgroups of people to achieve optimal health benefits. As the importance of physical activity guidelines in promoting optimal health and well-being becomes increasingly recognised, there is a critical need for their systematic evaluation to ensure they remain effective, applicable and aligned with evolving health needs and scientific insights. This study aims to systematically review, critically evaluate, and compare global physical activity and sedentary behaviour guidelines on frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise for adults, pregnant and postpartum women, and people living with chronic conditions and/or disabilities.

Prevalence of peripheral arterial disease among individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus in India - A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a prevalent complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). As India ranks second in the population afflicted by T2DM, and the objective of this systematic review was to estimate the pooled prevalence of PAD in individuals living with T2DM in India.

Methods: Five databases (Cochrane (CENTRAL), MEDLINE (via PubMed), CINAHL (via EBSCO), PEDro, and Scopus) were searched using database-specific search terms from inception to August 2023.

COVID-19 Impact on Teaching Substance Use Disorders: A Nursing Curricular Thread.

Vulnerable populations such as those with substance use disorders (SUDs) are at a higher risk for early morbidities and mortalities yet are less likely to receive primary care and other necessary psychosocial services essential for comprehensive care of these clients. This need has been magnified by the COVID-19 pandemic. Evidence supports an increase in alcohol sales in 2020, and overdoses from illicit drugs have been reported to have more than doubled by May 2020 from the 2018 and 2019 baseline rates, and one reason for these increases is because of COVID-19.

Toxicity, outcome, and management of anthracycline overdoses in 16 dogs.

Background: Despite multiple reports of chemotherapy overdoses (ODs) in human and veterinary medicine, anthracycline ODs have been described infrequently.

Hypothesis/objectives: Describe toxicities, treatments, and overall outcome after anthracycline OD in dogs.

Animals: Twelve mitoxantrone (MTX) and 4 doxorubicin (DOX) ODs were evaluated.
