The regulation of cell physiology depends largely upon interactions of functionally distinct proteins and cellular components. These interactions may be transient or long-lived, but often affect protein motion. Measurement of protein dynamics within a cellular environment, particularly while perturbing protein function with small molecules, may enable dissection of key interactions and facilitate drug discovery; however, current approaches are limited by throughput with respect to data acquisition and analysis.

Sexual abuse scandals in recent years have eroded some of the trust that is foundational for the physician-patient relationship. A closer analysis of some of these stories of abuse from the standpoint of medical professionalism, primarily utilizing the example of Larry Nassar, DO, yields potential ways in which instances of abuse may be reduced or eliminated. The goal of this paper is to elicit lessons that can be learned from these tragic sequences of events so that physicians, healthcare institutions, physician practices, medical boards, and even patients themselves can introduce measures that help prevent future stories like these.

Soccer is played by a variety of individuals with varying abilities. The complicated lower limb movements involved within the game often lead to knee and ankle injuries, with anterior cruciate ligament injuries being the most severe with regard to rehabilitation time and ongoing health risks. This research explores the biomechanical kinematics of male and female soccer players on synthetic grass to determine whether trends in lower limb biomechanics over a variety of movements could explain injury risk.
