Introduction: Neonatal infants are at increased risk for motor development disorders.
Objective: To compare General Movements (GMs) classification between three neonatal risk groups, correlate the GMs Assessment (GMA) with a standardized developmental neurological examination (SDNE) and determine risk factors for abnormal GMs.
Methods: Monocentric observational study with three risk groups (children with operated congenital heart disease (CHD) n=26, with operated congenital gastrointestinal malformations (CGM) n=17 and with fetal operated myelomeningocele (MMC) n=12 who underwent inpatient video-based examination.
Unlabelled: Achieving and maintaining target serum trough infliximab levels improves outcomes in children and young adults with inflammatory bowel disease. Our goal was to improve adherence to an infliximab therapy guideline. The primary aim was to increase the percentage of patients with infliximab levels ≥5 μg/mL and results checked in the last 12 months from 73% to ≥80% from July 2017 to January 2018.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Reports on the feasibility and effectiveness of translating proactive, antitumor necrosis factor (TNF) therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) for inflammatory bowel disease into practice-wide quality improvement (QI) are lacking. We aimed to determine whether a TDM QI program improved outcomes at a large academic pediatric gastroenterology practice.
Methods: We instituted local anti-TNF TDM practice guidelines to proactively monitor and optimize drug levels (goal >5 μg/mL).
Mineral exploitation has spread from land to shallow coastal waters and is now planned for the offshore, deep seabed. Large seafloor areas are being approved for exploration for seafloor mineral deposits, creating an urgent need for regional environmental management plans. Networks of areas where mining and mining impacts are prohibited are key elements of these plans.

Developing this comprehensive perspective is difficult though, because species interactions are complex, interdependent, and dynamic through space and time. Typically, experiments focus on tractable subsets of interactions that will be most critical to investigate and explain shifts in communities, but qualitatively base these choices on experience, natural history, and theory.
