Rosai-Dorfman's illness, also denominated sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy is considered benign entity of unknown etiology; although it is believed it may be due to alterations of immune system. It was described in 1969 by Rosai and Dorfman and there are nearly 500 cases worldwide reported. The most frequent clinical manifestation is massive lymph node enlargement, mainly cervical, but almost in the fifth percent of cases any lymph node may be affected.

The pedodontic admission histories of 1600 Mexican children were analyzed, to determine general epidemiologic factors or oral habits, as well as their relationship with identifiable biopsychosociologic factors. Fifty-six percent of the children gave evidence of an oral habit, with significant predisposition among female patients, single children, subjects in poor physical health (particularly from allergies), as well as children with histories of chronic health problems. Oral habits should be considered a major health hazard because of their high incidence.

One hundred prostates from 20 to 40 year old men obtained at necropsy were completely sectioned and studied microscopically. Atypical hyperplasia was found in 10 (20%) of 20-29 year old men and in 12 (24%) of 30-40 year old men. The prostates with atypical hyperplasia had similar weights as those without, and the atypical hyperplasia was most common in the lateral lobes of the prostate and near the apex.

Eosinophilic coronary arteritis is rare, and it occurs principally as a manifestation of cardiac involvement in Churg-Strauss syndrome (allergic granulomatosis and angiitis). A 39-year-old white man, who was an asthmatic, died suddenly and unexpectedly. Autopsy showed isolated eosinophilic coronary arteritis associated with myocardial necrosis, and isolated eosinophilic myocarditis as the cause of death.
