Background: Cigarette smoking is a leading cause of death and disease, including those related to the cardiovascular system. Cytisine is a plant-based medication, which works in a similar mechanism to varenicline. It is safe, efficacious, and cost-effective for smoking cessation.

Despite significant advances in therapeutic strategies, effective management of large chronic skin wounds remains a clinical challenge. Dermal fibroblasts are the primary cell type responsible for remodeling the extracellular matrix (ECM) in wound healing.

While most research has focused on the direct effects of nuclear morphology on cell fate, its impact on the cell secretome and surrounding cells remains largely unexplored, yet is especially crucial for cell-based therapies. In this study, we fabricated implants with a micropillar topography using methacrylated poly(octamethylene citrate)/hydroxyapatite (mPOC/HA) composites to investigate how micropillar-induced nuclear deformation influences cell paracrine signaling for osteogenesis and cranial bone regeneration.

is an obligate human parasite of the phylum Apicomplexa and is the causative agent of the most lethal form of human malaria. Although N6-methyladenosine modification is thought to be one of the major post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms for stage-specific gene expression in apicomplexan parasites, the precise base position of m6A in mRNAs or noncoding RNAs in these parasites remains unknown. Here, we report global nucleotide-resolution mapping of m6A residues in using DART-seq technology, which quantitatively displayed a stage-specific, dynamic distribution pattern with enrichment near mRNA 3' ends.
