Objective: To investigate whether gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) mediates the association between assisted reproductive technology (ART) and preterm birth (PTB), and to examine the interaction and joint effects of ART and GDM on PTB.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study utilized data from 20,721 mothers with singleton live births at Sichuan Jinxin Xinan Women and Children's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023. The exposures were ART and GDM, and the outcome was PTB.

Melatonin (MT), an indole compound, can boost plant growth under abiotic stress conditions. This experiment aims to elucidate the synergistic effect of MT and ascorbic acid (AsA) in mitigating salinity stress by assessing the photosynthetic and antioxidant capacity of the maize inbred lines H123 and W961. The results indicated that exogenous MT and AsA significantly improved photosynthetic efficiency and biomass of maize under salinity stress.

To cope with the challenges posed by high-concurrency training tasks involving large models and big data, Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) and shard were proposed as alternatives to blockchain-based federated learning, aiming to enhance training concurrency. However, there is insufficient research on the specific consensus designs and the effects of varying shard sizes on federated learning. In this paper, we combine DAG and shard by designing three tip selection consensus algorithms and propose an adaptive algorithm to improve training performance.

Oxysterols, as metabolites of cholesterol, play a key role in cholesterol homeostasis, autophagosome formation, and regulation of immune responses. Disorders in oxysterol metabolism are closely related to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. To systematically investigate the profound molecular regulatory mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, it is necessary to quantify oxysterols and their metabolites in central and peripheral biospecimens simultaneously and accurately.
