Methods: We conducted a randomized trial at multiple sites from 2010 to 2014.
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has been applied to an array of clinical scenarios. Its application within the oral and maxillofacial region continues to impress those involved with its use. Salivary gland imaging has been accomplished by standard radiographs, computed tomography, and more recently, CBCT.
