Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the safety of the first wearable augmented reality assistance system (ARAS) specifically designed for pancreatic surgery and its impact on perioperative outcomes.

Background: Pancreatic surgery remains highly complex and is associated with a high rate of perioperative complications. ARAS, as an intraoperative assistance system, has the potential to reduce these complications.

Synthesis route scouting for active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and drug product development often must occur simultaneously, requiring formulators to make decisions regarding drug product process selection before commercial API route finalization. Alternatively, the formulation strategy may be locked, thereby constraining drug substance processes with strict API attribute requirements.

Repair of Type C Tracheo-esophageal Fistula/Esophageal Atresia With or Without Trans Anastomotic Tube: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: The use of trans anastomotic feeding tube (TAFT) during the repair of Esophageal atresia/Tracheo-esophageal fistula (EA/TEF) aims to enhance outcomes by enabling early feeding, reducing the requirement for parenteral nutrition, and reducing complications such as anastomotic leak by stenting the anastomosis. However, TAFT's benefits and drawbacks are debated due to conflicting reports. Thus, we conducted a prospective pilot randomized control trial to elucidate the impact of TAFT on postoperative outcomes and the potential benefits of avoidance of TAFT.

Paediatric renal hilar paraganglioma.

Retroperitoneal neuroendocrine tumours are exceptionally rare. The excision of tumours located in the renal hilum near the renal vessels can be challenging. We report a case of a paraganglioma located at the renal hilum which was excised successfully in a child who presented with abdominal pain, breathlessness, left varicocele and hypertension.
