In this paper, we aim to understand maternal perspectives on: (1) COVID-19 pandemic learning impacts for kindergartners from low-income households; and (2) Factors that mitigated or exacerbated impacts on learning. We conducted a qualitative study with 22 mothers of low-income households in the United States who had kindergarten-age children. Through in-depth, semi-structured interviews, mothers reflected on their experiences during the 2020-21 school year.

Inhibition of glycoprotein-130 (GP130) signaling with the small molecule SC144 improves RV function in rodent RVD via anti-inflammatory and metabolic mechanisms. However, SC144's efficacy and molecular effects in a translational large animal model of RVD are unknown.

Available data demonstrate 17β-estradiol modulates microtubule dynamics , but its effects on pathogenic microtubule remodeling in pressure-overloaded cardiomyocytes are unexplored. Here, we show 17β-estradiol directly blunts microtubule polymerization , counteracts endothelin-mediated microtubule remodeling in iPSC-cardiomyocytes, and mitigates microtubule stabilization in pulmonary artery banded right ventricular cardiomyocytes.

Data from intervention studies are limited. We hypothesised that vitamin D supplementation would lower maternal blood pressure (BP) during pregnancy and reduce the incidence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
