Purpose: To compare the refractive prediction accuracy of the Optiwave Refractive Analysis (ORA) SYSTEM with the Barrett True-K (BTK) formula in calculating intraocular lens (IOL) power in eyes that underwent cataract surgery after previous myopic photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) or laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
Methods: This retrospective study evaluated patients aged ≥22 years with prior myopic PRK or LASIK who underwent unilateral or bilateral cataract removal and monofocal IOL implantation using the ORA SYSTEM at 177 sites in the United States. Two datasets were analyzed: All Eyes (ie, all eligible eyes) and First Surgery Eyes (ie, each patient's first implanted eye).
The development of efficient and robust catalytic systems based on earth-abundant transition metals for fundamentally new transformations is crucial for sustainable chemical synthesis. Herein, an effective and selective Ni-catalyzed dehydrogenative coupling of alcohols with hydrazines with the liberation of ammonia gas is reported. Although several methods were documented for the -alkylation reaction, the present strategy is conceptually novel, and the reaction proceeds through a pathway involving N-N bond cleavage of phenylhydrazine followed by hydrogen autotransfer.

Bacterial infections significantly delay the physiological wound healing process and can cause further damage to the wound region. In the current work, we aim to design titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) incorporated with chitosan (Chi) and poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) film using the casting method and to study their potential for faster wound healing. The prepared TiO NPs were analyzed for physicochemical properties, and TEM results showed an average particle size of 39.
