Treatment Patterns for Metastatic Urothelial Carcinoma Across Eight Mexican Centers: The ALEBRIJE Study.

Purpose: Metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) poses a challenge to health care systems, given its treatment complexity and mortality. We aimed to describe the characteristics, treatment patterns, and survival outcomes of Mexican patients with mUC.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted across eight centers for adults with mUC from January /2001 to December 2021.

Novel Immunological Markers of Intestinal Impairment Indicative of HIV-1 Status and/or Subclinical Atherosclerosis.

Antiretroviral therapy (ART) controls HIV-1 replication in people with HIV-1 (PWH), but immunological restauration at mucosal barrier surfaces is not achieved. This fuels microbial translocation, chronic immune activation, and increased comorbidities, including cardiovascular disease (CVD). Here, we sought to identify novel markers of mucosal barrier impairment in the blood to predict the HIV and/or CVD status.

Safety of immunotherapy with glutaraldehyde-polymerized allergen extract in adults and children.

Background: Allergies to fungi, such as , are significant contributors to respiratory conditions like asthma and rhinitis. Immunotherapy with native extracts often results in high rates of adverse reactions. This study evaluates the safety of immunotherapy using glutaraldehyde-polymerized extracts in both pediatric and adult populations.

Gestational breast cancer: distinctive molecular and clinico-epidemiological features.

Gestational breast cancer (GBC), defined as breast cancer (BC) diagnosed during pregnancy or the first-year post-partum, accounts for 6-15% of BC cases in women aged 20-44 years. GBC has worse prognosis than non-GBC, but reasons behind are not clear. The GEICAM/2012-03 Study (Molecular Characterization of Gestational Breast Cancer) is a multicenter prospective/retrospective observational registry of patients diagnosed with GBC.
