Objectives: To explore the experiences and perceptions of young adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) after they transferred care from a pediatric to an adult clinic, utilizing an organized transfer process that included a Diabetes Transition Clinic (DTC) and a transfer letter (TL).
Methods: This retrospective study used a semi-structured interview 1-1.5 years after transfer of care, which gathered both quantitative and qualitative data of young adults (n=12) who transferred care at an average age of 19.
Key Clinical Message: Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) aided in the management of complex soft tissue injury in a 14-year-old girl by managing moisture, reducing oedema, and stimulating wound granulation less than 2 months after the accident and prepared the skin for skin grafting, thus successfully saving the limb.
Abstract: This case study describes the use of a tubular bandage encompassing the whole limb to deliver successful NPWT in the treatment and reconstruction of extensive soft tissue damage extending from the right lower extremity to the hip in a 14-year-old female.
Background: Escape room simulations are an innovative teaching methodology that may be useful in addressing pediatric-specific content and clinical placement limitations of generalist nursing programs.
Problem: This project studied if a pediatric escape room simulation improved students' knowledge and confidence in pediatric nursing to support the development of the pediatric nursing workforce.
Approach: A pediatric escape room simulation was developed for a large Midwestern university's prelicensure nursing program.
Around the world, people engage in practices that involve self-inflicted pain and apparently wasted resources. Researchers theorized that these practices help stabilize within-group cooperation by assorting individuals committed to collective action. While this proposition was previously studied using existing religious practices, we provide a controlled framework for an experimental investigation of various predictions derived from this theory.

The considered signature is based upon high ionization in the transition radiation tracker of the inner detector associated with a pencil-shape energy deposit in the electromagnetic calorimeter.
