Dynamic influence of mood on subjective cognitive complaints in mild cognitive impairment: A time series network analysis approach.

Objectives: Subjective cognitive complaints (SCC) are common and clinically relevant in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) but are intertwined with mood states. Using Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) of SCC and network analyses we sought to uncover the links between mood and SCC and how these links may vary by the presence or absence of MCI.

Design: We used EMA to collect intensive longitudinal data.

The increasing use of engineered nanoparticles (NPs) and their release into the environment requires an assessment of their fate and (eco-) toxicological effects. Previous studies have often focused on pristine NPs or NPs spiked into the effluent of simulated wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) fed with artificial wastewater, combined with unrealistic high exposure concentrations to overcome problems associated with high metal background concentrations. In this study environmentally transformed NPs were obtained by direct spiking into an anaerobic digester filled with municipal sewage sludge.

Improved Post-Operative Outcomes and Reduced Narcotic Use With ERAS Protocol in a Pediatric Ambulatory Surgery Setting.

Compared to the adult literature, there are few enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols standardized in the pediatric population. The objective of the current study is to determine if the implementation of an ERAS protocol would improve patient outcomes in the ambulatory pediatric urologic population. A retrospective analysis was performed on pediatric patients who underwent urologic procedures (circumcision, orchiopexy, hypospadias correction, and urethroplasty) in the ambulatory surgical setting affiliated with a tertiary pediatric hospital.
