Individual differences in human brain aging are difficult to estimate over short intervals because of measurement error. Using a cluster scanning approach that reduces error by densely repeating rapid structural scans, we measured brain aging in individuals in one year. Expected differences between young and older individuals were evident, as were differences between cognitively unimpaired and impaired individuals.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed patients from a single-institution database who were diagnosed with IDH-wildtype temporal lobe glioblastoma and underwent complete resection of the contrast-enhancing region. Eligible patients had preoperative, immediate postoperative, and progression MRIs to assess tumor progression patterns.
Objectives: To analyze the prevalence and severity of fetal aortic regurgitation (AR) after undergoing successful fetal aortic valvuloplasty (FAV) and to evaluate its effects on fetal circulation and left ventricular (LV) growth.
Methods: This was a retrospective review of all fetuses with critical aortic stenosis who underwent successful FAV at our center between 2010 and 2024 for whom postnatal echocardiograms were available in digital format. Fetal and postnatal echocardiographic examinations were analyzed for ventricular and valvular dimensions and characteristics, and Z-scores were calculated for middle cerebral artery (MCA) pulsatility index (PI), umbilical artery (UA) PI and cerebroplacental ratio.

Objectives: Mortality in patients with interrupted aortic arch (IAA) rates among the highest in congenital heart surgery. Various techniques for aortic arch repair are described; reintervention rates remain substantial. This retrospective single-centre study aimed to evaluate the long-term outcome in a biventricular series with a preferably performed direct anastomosis and one-stage repair.

Culture can shape memory, but little research has investigated age effects. The present study examined the neural correlates of memory retrieval for old, new, and similar lures in younger and older Americans and Taiwanese. A total of 207 participants encoded pictures of objects and, during fMRI scanning, completed a surprise object recognition task testing discrimination of similar and new from old items.
