Background: Gastric cancer remains a major global health challenge, ranking fourth in cancer-related deaths. Total gastrectomy with lymphadenectomy is the standard treatment, with advancements in surgery shifting towards minimally invasive techniques to reduce surgical trauma and metabolic response. Esophagojejunal anastomotic leak is a frequent complication of gastrectomy, significantly increasing morbidity and mortality rates by up to 64%.

Brief communication: gaps and opportunities in HIV research in Venezuela.

Over the past decade, Venezuela has experienced a political and economic crisis that has affected the country's scientific research development. Currently, the state of HIV research in Venezuela remains unknown. We conducted a systematic review identifying 683 articles over the last 20 years of which only 101 met our inclusion criteria.

[Oral health conditions and nutritional, functional and cognitive status - An approach to the institutionalized older adult].

Introduction/objective: Multidimensional geriatric assessment is an important diagnostic method in geriatrics. The objective of this article was to establish the relationship between nutritional, functional, cognitive status and oral health of institutionalized older adults.

Methodology: A cross-sectional observational study was carried out, where 93 institutionalized older adults participated, including oral assessment and Barthel, Minimental, Mininutritional and Yesavage scales.

Content moderators review problematic content for technology companies. One concern is that repeated exposure to false claims could cause moderators to come to believe the very claims they are supposed to moderate, via the "illusory truth effect."
