Background: Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor-induced angioedema (AE-ACEI) is a life-threatening adverse event and, globally, the commonest cause of emergency presentations with angioedema. Several large genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have found genomic associations with AE-ACEI.
