Understanding how promoters work in non-host cells is complex. Nonetheless, understanding this process is crucial while performing gene expression modulation studies. This study began with the process of constructing a shuttle vector with CMV and OpIE2 promoters in a tandem arrangement to achieve gene expression in both mammalian and insect cells, respectively.

Background And Objective: A series of thiazolopyrimidine derivatives have been synthesized via multicomponent reaction and tested for biological activities. This research aims to develop a new synthetic method of poly fused pyrimidines under microwave irradiation. 6-Amino-4-aryl-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carbonitriles reacted with bromomalono-nitrile to give 3,7-diamino-5-aryl-5H-thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine-2,6-dicarbonitrile more willingly than the isomeric 7H-thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidines.

Background: Pyrazoles, thiazoles and 1,3,4-thiadiazoles have been reported to possess various pharmacological activities.

Results: An efficient and a novel approach for the synthesis of some novel pyrazole based-azoles are described via multi-component reaction under controlled microwave heating conditions. The structures of the synthesized compounds were assigned on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, H NMR and mass spectral data.

A series of new morpholinylchalcones was prepared and then used as building blocks for constructing a series of 7-morpholino-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydropyrido[2,3-]pyrimidin-4(1)-ones via their reaction with 6-aminothiouracil. The latter thiones reacted with the appropriate hydrazonoyl chloride to give the corresponding pyrido[2,3-][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-]pyrimidin-5(1)-ones. The assigned structures for all the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of elemental analyses and spectral data and the mechanisms of their formation were also discussed.

Benzoxazinones and quinazolinones have a wide spectrum of biological activity. In this paper we focused on studying the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities of some newly synthesized benzoxazinone and quinazolinone derivatives. Thus we prepared 2-[α-benzoylaminostyryl]-6,8-dibromo-3,1-benzoxazin-4(H)-one 2 which underwent a reaction with primary and secondary amines, and hydrazine hydrate to give compounds 3, 4 and 5, respectively.
