Stakeholder perspectives of family interventions for schizophrenia in Indonesia: a qualitative study.

Mental illnesses comprise the single largest source of health-related economic burden globally and low-and middle-income countries (LMICs) are disproportionately affected. Many individuals with schizophrenia do not receive evidence-based, psychosocial interventions as these are largely unavailable, undeveloped, and under-researched in LMICs. Involving service-users and carers in the design of interventions is crucial to ensure stakeholder needs are adequately addressed by the intervention and to aid successful implementation.

Disaster Training for Nurses in Indonesia: Balancing Physical, Psychological, and Managerial Competencies.

Background: Indonesian nurses receive training for disasters when they take an undergraduate nursing program at the university, but there have been variations in the curriculum. Moreover, there is still limited informal training available specifically for disaster nursing. Therefore, needs assessments are necessary to identify the gap between Indonesian disaster nurses' existing and expected competencies.

Antioxidant intake and status, and oxidative stress in relation to breast cancer risk: a case-control study.

A case control study was carried out to investigate associations between breast cancer risk, antioxidant status and oxidative stress among women in Klang Valley and Selangor. A total of 57 newly diagnosed cases aged 30 to 66 years old participated and were matched for age and ethnicity with 139 controls with no diagnosis of cancer or other chronic diseases. An interview based questionnaire designed to collect information on demographic and socioeconomic status, as well as reproductive, medical and dietary history was used.

Systemic sclerosis and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.

The association between the CREST (calcinosis, Raynaud phenomena, oesophageal hypomotility, sclerodactyly and telangiectasia, variant of systemic sclerosis and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia is described in three patients. The present description raises the possibility that the association of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and systemic sclerosis is non-random.
