Atom-ion hybrid systems are promising platforms for the quantum simulation of polaron physics in certain quantum materials. Here, we investigate the ionic Fermi polaron, a charged impurity in a polarized Fermi bath, at zero temperature using quantum Monte Carlo techniques. We compute the energy spectrum, residue, effective mass, and structural properties.

Background: Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) has been showed to have beneficial effects on the healing and control of inflammation associated with oral surgical wounds. However, different PBMT protocols have been proposed and it is not clear if different protocols impact the hard and soft tissues healing equally.

Purpose: To compare the tissue repair of postextraction alveoli of third molars between treated with dual-wavelength PBMT (red and infrared) or PBMT with infrared laser (IRL) alone.

The work investigates the effect of the estragole complex encapsulated in beta-cyclodextrin (ES/β-CD) in modulating bacterial resistance, specifically in strains expressing NorA and MepA efflux pumps. Efflux pumps are mechanisms that bacteria use to resist antibiotics by expelling them from the cell. Methodology: Several compounds and antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin and norfloxacin, were used to evaluate the antimicrobial activity and the ability of the ES/β-CD complex to reverse resistance.

The high-frequency generator is considered a collagen stimulator and skin revitalizer, however there are few studies exploring its effects in the field of rejuvenation and aesthetics. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the impact of high frequency generator therapy on facial aging. A total of 26 participants aged between 50 and 60 years were selected and received high frequency generator treatment for eight weeks.
