The automated and autonomous cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) demands a sample holder capable of maintaining temperatures below 10 K with precise control, long holding times, and minimal helium use. Rising to this challenge, we initiated an ambitious project to develop a novel closed-cycle cryocooler-based cryogenic sample holder that operates without the use of liquid helium and the consumption of gaseous helium. This article presents the design, construction, and experimental testing of the initial prototype, which achieves an ultimate temperature of 5.

Background: There is a dearth of published information on the posterior perforated substance as compared to the anterior perforated substance. We managed to glean facts about the posterior perforated substance that can serve as a landmark for surgical operations in the adjacent regions of the midbrain and the vessels passing through it. Moreover, the posterior perforated substance contains the interpeduncular nucleus responsible for the mental state of the individual.

We propose and demonstrate a terahertz (THz) oscilloscope for recording time information of an ultrashort electron beam. By injecting a laser-driven THz pulse with circular polarization into a dielectric tube, the electron beam is swept helically such that the time information is uniformly encoded into the angular distribution that allows one to characterize both the temporal profile and timing jitter of an electron beam. The dynamic range of the measurement in such a configuration is significantly increased compared to deflection with a linearly polarized THz pulse.

Diaphragmatic hernias are either congenital or acquired defects in the diaphragm that permit passing of abdominal contents into the chest cavity. Individuals with large diaphragmatic hernias associated with a gastric perforation have rarely been reported in literature and can have serious mortality rates. Herein, we present a case of gastric perforation in the setting of a significant sized diaphragmatic hernia.

Pulmonary sequestrations (PS) are rare congenital malformations that can be difficult to diagnose. PS have no connection with the bronchial tree and are vascularized through an aberrant artery mostly arising from descending thoracic or abdominal aorta. The standard diagnostic method is the computed tomography angiography and delayed diagnosis can lead to recurrent pneumonia and hemoptysis.
