The role of CBT in enhancing health outcomes in coronary artery bypass graft patients: a systematic review.

Background: Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) is a common intervention for managing coronary artery disease, which is often accompanied by postoperative psychological challenges such as anxiety and depression. This systematic review aims to evaluate the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in reducing anxiety and depression symptoms and improving overall health outcomes in patients' post-coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

Methods: A search of Science Direct, PsycINFO, PubMed, Google Scholar, VHL, Cochrane, and Scopus databases was conducted until October 2023.

Can Aluminum Affect Social Behavior and Cortisol Plasma Profile in the Neotropical Freshwater Teleost (Teleostei: Characidae)?

Aluminum (Al) can cause endocrine disruption in aquatic animals, but assessments of animal social behavior in neotropical teleost fish species with importance for Brazilian aquaculture have still not been addressed so far, which can further complete this ecotoxicological knowledge. In order to evaluate the social behavior and plasma cortisol concentration of fish exposed to Al, we performed a 1 h acute exposure with couples in three different experimental groups: control in neutral pH (CTL/n group), acid pH (pH/ac group), and aluminum in acid pH (Al/ac group; 2.0 mg L).

Single-View Fluoroscopic X-Ray Pose Estimation: A Comparison of Alternative Loss Functions and Volumetric Scene Representations.

Many tasks performed in image-guided procedures can be cast as pose estimation problems, where specific projections are chosen to reach a target in 3D space. In this study, we construct a framework for fluoroscopic pose estimation and compare alternative loss functions and volumetric scene representations. We first develop a differentiable projection (DiffProj) algorithm for the efficient computation of Digitally Reconstructed Radiographs (DRRs) from either Cone-Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) or neural scene representations.

Percutaneous CT-Guided Deep Neck Access.

Computed tomography guidance enables deep neck biopsies beyond the range of ultrasound and spares the patient more invasive open surgery. This review article describes proper patient preparation, devices, and techniques. Cases illustrate the favored access routes in the suprahyoid neck including the subzygomatic, retromandibular, transfacial, submastoid, transoral, and posterior approaches, as well as in the infrahyoid neck including the anterolateral and posterolateral approaches.
