Mammary myofibroblastoma of the male breast: a case report and literature review.

Mammary myofibroblastoma (MFB) is a rare benign spindle cell tumour predominantly affecting males, but also observed in postmenopausal females. Its diagnosis remains challenging owing to overlapping histological features with malignant lesions and limited tissue sampling in core biopsies. We present a case of incidentally discovered mammary MFB in a 63-year-old man and review its clinical, radiological and histopathological characteristics.

Background: The clinical manifestations of Corona Virus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) varied from patient to patient with evidence of multi-organ involvement. Many patients continue to have a wide range of symptoms for variable periods of time. The long-term effects of COVID-19 infection (post COVID-19 illness or syndrome) are not yet fully explored.

Preoperative esophagogastroduodenoscopy in patients without reflux symptoms undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy: utility or futility?

Aim: To evaluate the value of esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) as a preoperative investigation in individuals without symptoms of Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) who will undergo laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG).

Materials And Methods: After Institutional Review Board approval was obtained, patients scheduled for LSG were prospectively enrolled in the study between January 2016 and March 2018. Patients with symptoms of GERD were excluded from the study.
