Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to identify the optimal sizes for middle cerebral artery (MCA) bifurcation aneurysms that are most suitable for treatment with the Woven EndoBridge (WEB) device, focusing on aneurysm width and neck dimensions.
  • Using a large retrospective database, the researchers analyzed unruptured MCA bifurcation aneurysms and established ideal cutoff values of 6.1 mm for width and 4.6 mm for neck size regarding treatment effectiveness.
  • Findings indicated that aneurysms smaller than these cutoff values had significantly higher rates of occlusion (93% for width and 90% for neck) and lower retreatment rates compared to larger aneurysms, highlighting the importance of

(cassava) roots is a major food crop for its energy content. Leaves contain nutrients and demonstrate biological properties but remain undervalorized. In order to develop a bioguided optimization of cassava nutrition-health properties, we compared the phytochemistry and bioactive potential of cassava root flour extract (CF) with cassava flour extract enriched with 30% leaves powder (CFL).

This article explores the novel use of natural deep eutectic solvents (NaDES) in real food by incorporating them into mayonnaise, either alone or with pigmented rice bran (RB). Results showed that NaDES-fortified mayonnaises could prevent lipid oxidation. Notably, mayonnaises with NaDES2 (betaine:sucrose:water) significantly reduced the production of lipid hydroperoxides, which was maintained to an average of 2.

Background: Pocket hematoma is the most prevalent complication with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), especially in patients who are undergoing oral anticoagulation and/or antiplatelet therapy.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of hypothermic compression bandaging versus conventional compression bandaging for the prevention of surgical wound hematoma of CIEDs in patients who are undergoing chronic anticoagulant drug use and/or antiplatelet therapy.

Methods: This was a single-center randomized prospective study.
