Earthquakes are natural disasters that cause physical, psychological, social, and environmental damage. Due to the intense psychological impact, victims of earthquakes may associate a fatalistic approach with religion as a mechanism for seeking protection. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between religious health fatalism and healthy lifestyle behaviors among earthquake victims.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the sleep quality of patients with PAH and investigate its association with dyspnea, fatigue, and exercise capacity.
Methods: Forty-five patients were included.
Background: Considering the limitations in activities of daily living (ADL) and the impact of improvements in patients with heart failure (HF), appropriate assessment of upper extremity functional capacity and ADL is important.
Objectives: To evaluate upper extremity functional capacity and ADL in patients with HF and compare them with healthy controls.
Methods: This study included 30 HF patients and healthy controls.
C4'-modified nucleoside analogues continue to attract global attention for their use in antiviral drug development and oligonucleotide-based therapeutics. However, current approaches to C4'-modified nucleoside analogues still involve lengthy (9-16 steps), non-modular routes that are unamenable to library synthesis. Towards addressing the challenges associated with their syntheses, we report a modular 5-step process to a diverse collection of C4'-modified nucleoside analogues through a sequence of intramolecular trans-acetalizations of readily assembled polyhydroxylated frameworks.

Methods: Thirty participants (15 CBF participants and 15 matched-control participants) took part in the study. Behavioural data was collected for each CBF participant (and their matched control) for the three-month period before entering the CBF, during their time in the CBF, and the 3 months after exiting the CBF.
