Coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic: Comparative Case Study of Coping and Resilience in Children From Different Educational Contexts in Colombia.

In 2020, humanity experienced one of the most complex situations in history: The COVID-19 pandemic, which caused significant social, economic, and educational consequences. Nevertheless, countries and people generally survived. Why? Resilience and the ability to cope are fundamental elements in human, community, and national survival.

Predicting long-term renal damage in children with vesicoureteral reflux under conservative initial management: 205 cases in a tertiary referral center.

Introduction: Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is one of the most common ailments in children. Evidence-based guidelines recommend conservative treatment in children with VUR, followed by endoscopic surgery in those with breakthrough febrile urinary tract infections (UTIs). Despite this fact, the management of VUR is still controversial.

[Foreign body aspiration in children].

The aim to this study is evaluate the history, symptoms, radiographic and endoscopic findings in 420 children who were admitted for suspected foreign body aspiration in our hospital between 1972 and 2005. In 13 children we didn't find foreign body and in 16 children the foreign bodies were lodged in larynx. The mean age was 33 months.

Fine needle aspiration cytology of primary pulmonary meningioma associated with minute meningotheliallike nodules. Report of a case with histologic, immunohistochemical and ultrastructural studies.

Background: Pulmonary meningioma is an unusual tumor located in the lung. Minute pulmonary meningotheliallike nodules are also uncommon tumor-like lesions found at the pleuropulmonary level as solitary or multiple nodules. The association of both entities is described in a recent report.

Squamous cell carcinoma in situ of the endometrium as superficial extension of cervical carcinoma.

Squamous cell carcinomas of the endometrium, either primary or secondary extending from the cervix, are rare. We report a 52-year-old woman with squamous cell carcinoma in situ of the cervix associated with squamous cell carcinoma in situ of the endometrium. The patient had received pelvic cobalt therapy 10 years earlier.
