Cerebral artery reverse flow as an indicator of critical intracranial hypertension in fetal intracranial hemorrhage: Case report.

Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is a rare serious fetal event. It manifests via non-specific sonographic findings such as: ventriculomegaly, increased periventricular echogenity, hyperechogenic ependyma and presence of avascular intracranial masses. Severe ICH causes an increase in fetal intracranial pressure, which can be quantified in utero by the presence of reverse flow in the middle cerebral artery (MCA-REDF).

Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm - a complex presentation in imaging methods.

Neuroendocrine neoplasms comprise an ever greater ratio of primary gastrointestinal tract tumors, thanks to the improving diagnostics. The clinical presentation can be quite diverse depending on the type of the tumor. Imaging methods - both the spectrum of radiological methods and methods of nuclear medicine - are an integral part of the diagnostics.

Epidemiological Study of Orofacial Clefts among Population of Eastern Slovakia during the Period 1996-2013.

Background: Over the past 18 years, according to data from the Clinic of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, L. Pasteur University Hospital, there have been 493 cases of orofacial clefts (OC) reported in the area of Eastern Slovakia. The aim of this study was to map the occurrence of orofacial clefts reported in the area of Eastern Slovakia during the years 1996-2013.

Prenatal three-dimensional sonographic findings associated with fetal defecation. Case Report.

Routine ultrasonography examination may miss fetal defecation and if seen it can be a source of misinterpretation which can lead to a wrong diagnose and management of pregnancy. We report two rare cases of fetal defecation in the second trimester and we describe 3D sonographic findings associated with this condition.

Incidental tubal endometrioid adenocarcinoma - case report.

The fallopian tubes represent a highly important structure for ovarian carcinogenesis. They provide the passage of eutopic endometrium from the uterus, as well as metastatic cells from the ovaries. A direct source of tumor cells for ovarian cancer was also recently confirmed in the fallopian tubes.
