Attitudes and behaviors of physical activity in children: Findings from the Play, Lifestyle & Activity in Youth (PLAY) Questionnaire.

Background: The identified domains of child physical literacy include knowledge/understanding, behavior, motivation/confidence, and physical competency. Understanding physical literacy is critical to moving forward intervention efforts surrounding physical inactivity.

Objectives: To investigate physical literacy domains by presenting responses to the Play, Lifestyle & Activity in Youth (PLAY) questionnaire and analyze the relationship between comparable questions in the child and parent sections.

Part I: Crossfit-Related Injury Characteristics Presenting to Sports Medicine Clinic.

Objective: To investigate CrossFit-related injuries presenting to a pediatric sports medicine clinic.

Design: Retrospective review of pediatric CrossFit-related injuries from between January 1, 2003, and June 31, 2016.

Setting: Pediatric sports medicine clinic at a tertiary-level academic medical center.

Part II: Comparison of Crossfit-Related Injury Presenting to Sports Medicine Clinic by Sex and Age.

Objective: To examine CrossFit-related injuries based on sex and age.

Design: Retrospective case series.

Setting: A tertiary-level pediatric sports medicine clinic.

: To describe the evaluation, management and recovery time of hallux sesamoid fractures in young athletes.: A retrospective chart review was performed in a large academic teaching institution over a 5-year period (1/1/2010-12/31/2014). All patients with a sesamoid injury were initially included.
