Unlabelled: Stockpiling and storage of topsoil for use in reclamation and revegetation are common practices for many mining operations. However, stockpiling can lead to significant changes in topsoil physical and biogeochemical properties that may be detrimental to reclamation. The objective of this research was to assess the effect of long-term stockpiling on soil biogeochemical properties in a semiarid region.

IgA-coated fractions of the intestinal microbiota of Crohn's disease (CD) patients have been shown to contain taxa that hallmark the compositional dysbiosis in CD microbiomes. However, the correlation between other cellular properties of intestinal bacteria and disease has not been explored further, especially for features that are not directly driven by the host immune-system, e.g.

Symptoms of PTS and GORD are commonly treated with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) or alginates are often, incorrectly, advocated.

Article Synopsis
  • A novel gold-catalyzed one-pot reaction uses diarylbutadiynes and trimethoxybenzene to easily produce 4,6,8-trimethoxyazulenes.
  • The methoxy groups make the azulene electron-rich, allowing for unusual regioselectivity in electrophilic substitutions.
  • This method simplifies the typically complex process of synthesizing 2-haloazulenes, which are important intermediates for creating various azulene derivatives.
