The study aimed to evaluate the effects of supplementation with Lacticaseibacillus casei CSL3 in Swiss mice immunosuppressed with cyclophosphamide on immunological, biochemical, oxidative stress, and histological parameters. The animals were distributed into four groups (control, CSL3, cyclophosphamide, and CSL3 + cyclophosphamide), where two groups were treated with L. casei CSL3 (10 log CFU mL) for 30 days, and two groups received chemotherapy (days 27 and 30-total dose of 250 mg kg).

A comparative genomics study of the microbiome and freshwater resistome in Southern Pantanal.

This study explores the resistome and bacterial diversity of two small lakes in the Southern Pantanal, one in Aquidauana sub-region, close to a farm, and one in Abobral sub-region, an environmentally preserved area. metagenomic sequencing data from water column samples collected near and far from the floating macrophyte were used. The Abobral small lake exhibited the highest diversity and abundance of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), antibiotic resistance classes (ARGCs), phylum, and genus.

The evaluation of water sorption and solubility is pivotal for the development of new resin-based restorative materials with the potential for clinical application. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the influence of the specimen dimension, water immersion protocol, and surface roughness on the water sorption and solubility of three resin-based restorative materials. Disk-shaped specimens of 15 mm × 1 mm, 10 mm × 1 mm, and 6 mm × 1 mm were produced with a composite resin (Z100), a resin cement (RelyX ARC), and an adhesive system (Single Bond 2-SB2).
