Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ) translated into Arabic for Lebanese young adults, aiming to assess its effectiveness in capturing the subjective construct of life's meaning in this demographic.
  • Researchers surveyed 684 Lebanese young adults and found that the original MLQ model needed adjustments; after removing two problematic items, the remaining model showed good reliability and fit.
  • Results indicated no significant gender differences in MLQ scores, and findings revealed that the Search subscale relates to higher GRIT without affecting psychological distress, while the Presence subscale associates with both higher GRIT and lower distress, supporting the MLQ's validity and reliability in this context.
