People with schizophrenia exhibit reduced alpha oscillations and frontotemporal coordination of brain activity. Alpha oscillations are associated with top-down inhibition. Reduced alpha oscillations may fail to censor spurious endogenous activity, leading to auditory hallucinations.

Background: Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at high risk for adverse drug events related to medication dosing errors and prescriptions for relatively contraindicated medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Background: Weekly (qw) nanoparticle albumin-bound (nab)-paclitaxel was approved for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer based on the results from a phase III trial in which nab-paclitaxel/carboplatin demonstrated a significantly greater response rate compared with paclitaxel/carboplatin every 3 weeks (q3w).
