Purpose: This study aimed to clarify the applicability of smartphone-based three-dimensional (3D) surface imaging for clinical use in oral and maxillofacial surgery, comparing two smartphone-based approaches to the gold standard.
Methods: Facial surface models (SMs) were generated for 30 volunteers (15 men, 15 women) using the Vectra M5 (Canfield Scientific, USA), the TrueDepth camera of the iPhone 14 Pro (Apple Inc., USA), and the iPhone 14 Pro with photogrammetry.
With the goal to study dissipative Landau-Zener (LZ) sweeps in realistic solid-state qubits, we utilize novel methods from non-Markovian open quantum system dynamics that enable reliable long-time simulations for sub-Ohmic environments. In particular, we combine a novel representation of the dynamical propagator, the uniform time evolving matrix product operator method, with a stochastic realization of finite temperature fluctuations. The latter greatly reduces the computational cost for the matrix product operator approach, enabling convergence in the experimentally relevant deeply sub-Ohmic regime.

Two independent observers (a specialist in endodontics and radiology and a final-year dental student) assessed their root canal curvature using the methodologies described by Schneider (1971, Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology, 32, 271), Weine (1982, Endodontic therapy), Berbert and Nishiyama (1994, Revista Gaúcha de Odontología, 356), Luiten et al.
Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV) is a mosquito-borne zoonotic pathogen. Its RNA genome consists of two negative-sense segments (L and M) with one gene each, and one ambisense segment (S) with two opposing genes separated by the noncoding "intergenic region" (IGR). These vRNAs and the complementary cRNAs are encapsidated by nucleoprotein (N).
