Design: Pragmatic, parallel arm, randomised controlled trial conducted October 2013-November 2019. Random allocation of participants (1:1) to comparison (existing services) or NFP (plus existing services).

Intracerebral Solitary Fibrous Tumor in Collision With Metastatic Colonic Adenocarcinoma.

A collision tumor is a rare neoplastic lesion consisting of two or more coexisting, distinct cell line entities. In this report, we present the case of a 56-year-old male patient with a history of colon cancer who presented to the emergency room with visual deficits that had started about eight months earlier. An ophthalmologic examination reported left homonymous hemianopsia, prompting a brain MRI, which showed a right posterior temporal extra-axial mass concerning intracerebral metastatic colon cancer, in consideration of patient history.

Hypoalbuminemia and Nutritional Status in Children With Cancer.

Background: In children with cancer, poor nutritional status adversely affects outcomes. Hypoalbuminemia is common in pediatric oncology patients, and in some groups is associated with inferior survival rates. We sought to determine if serum albumin associates with body mass index (BMI) percentile and if combining serum albumin and BMI is associated with survival.

Multiparametric Ultrasound for Chronic Liver Disease.

Diffuse liver disease is a substantial world-wide problem. With the combination of conventional ultrasound of the abdomen, fat quantification and elastography, appropriate staging of the patient can be assessed. This information allows for the diagnosis of steatosis and detection of fibrosis as well as prognosis, surveillance, and prioritization for treatment.
