Background: Cochlear implantation is an effective method of auditory rehabilitation. Nevertheless, the results show individual variations depending on several factors.
Aim: To evaluate cochlear implantation results based on the APCEI profile (Acceptance, Perception, Comprehension, Oral Expression and Intelligibility) and audiometric results.
Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is an inflammatory condition which may have a significant impact on quality of life. Endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) is usually indicated for patients' refractory to maximal medical treatment and presents high recurrence and revision surgery rates. The aims of this study are to evaluate ESS outcome in CRSwNP management and to assess independent predictive factors for recurrence.

Sinonasal angiomatous polyp (SAP) is a benign pseudoneoplastic lesion rarely reported in the literature. It may be misdiagnosed as a malignant neoplasm due to its aggressive features of bone erosion clinically or on imaging. Background: Otosclerosis is a primary osteodystrophy of the otic capsule that causes stapedo-vestibular ankylosis. Its diagnosis is suspected on the basis of clinical and audiometric elements, basically in the presence of conductive hearing loss with a normal eardrum. The CT-scan is an essential examination for the preoperative evaluation of otosclerosis.
