Decoding Mandibular Angle Fracture Management: Biomechanical Analysis of Different Plating Techniques - An Study.

Objective: The primary rationale of the study is to assess the biomechanical aspects of Champy's, monoplanar, biplanar, and 3D strut plating systems using an model in the management of the angle of mandible fracture.

Methods: Thirty-two hemi-sectioned mandibles ( = 32) were obtained from adult goats and divided into four groups ( = 8) for different plating techniques: monoplanar, biplanar, Champy's, and three-dimensional curved angle strut plating. A customized biomechanical test machine simulated masticatory loads by applying compressive forces.

Ni-Pd bimetallic nanoparticle stabilized polymer membrane as an efficient dip-catalyst for oxidative coupling of aromatic amines to access symmetrical and unsymmetrical azo compounds.

The azo linkage is an important chemical motif with wide applications in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, textile, paint, and food industries. The development of effective dip-catalysts that would convert aromatic amines to symmetric or asymmetric azobenzenes in the presence of aerobic molecular oxygen under mild conditions is really challenging. Here, we have developed a dip-catalyst by immobilizing poly(vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP) stabilized Ni-Pd bimetallic nanoparticles on a nylon-6 membrane through UV-crosslinking for performing such reactions.

Background: There is a lack of comprehensive data sources on various rating instruments that have been developed, translated, and adapted in Indian context.

Aim: Accordinly, this review aimed to compile the available scales/questionnaires/instruments developed, adapted, and translated for use in India.

Methods: For this, the search engines like PUBMED, Google Scholar, MedKnow, and Science Direct were searched for scales that have been developed, translated, and adapted in Indian context or an Indian language.

Molecular cloning and bioinformatic characterization of Gonadotropin Inhibitory Hormone (GnIH) and its receptors in the freshwater murrel, Channa punctatus (Bloch, 1793).

Gonadotropin inhibitory hormone belonging to the RFamide peptide family, a hypothalamic neuropeptide, regulates Hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis and inhibits gonadal development. GnIH polypeptide precursor has an Arg-Phe-NH (RFamide) motif at the C-terminal, which has LPXRF (X = Q or L) domain. The actions of GnIH are mediated through G-protein coupled receptors and upto three receptors have been characterized in many teleosts.
