Introduction: The avascular nature of the cornea results from a balance between angiogenic factors and anti-angiogenic factors. Under pathological conditions, this homeostasis can be disturbed, resulting in the onset of corneal neovascularization. The purpose of our study was to report our experience in the management of corneal neovascularization prior to keratoplasty.

A 47-year-old man with a history of lung adenocarcinoma presented a red and painful right eye with loss of visual acuity after the 5th course of chemotherapy. The ophthalmologic exam showed visual acuity at 3/10 and diffuse iris nodular lesions in the same eye. The fundus was not visible.
