Is economic inequality in maternal and child healthcare decreasing in India? Trends between 2005-2006, 2015-2016 and 2019-2021.

Objective: This study examined economic inequality in coverage of selected maternal and child healthcare (MCH) indicators in India and its states over the last 15 years.

Design: The study analysed last three rounds of the National Family Health Survey data, conducted during 2005-2006, 2015-2016 and 2019-2021. Bivariate analyses, ratio of richest to poorest, slope index of inequality (SII) and multivariate binary logistic regression analyses were used to examine the coverage as well as inequalities in the outcome indicators for India and its states and at district level.

A Six-Month Prospective Audit of Hypoglycemia in Non-Critically Ill Inpatients at a Tertiary Care Hospital in North India: Prevalence, Presentation, and Prevention.

Objective:  This research aimed to assess the prevalence, presentation, and risk factors associated with hypoglycemia in non-critically ill vs. critically ill inpatients at a tertiary care hospital in North India, focusing on identifying differences in clinical parameters and outcomes between these two patient populations over six months.

Methodology:  This six-month prospective study, conducted at a tertiary care hospital in North India, evaluated the frequency, presentation, and prevention of hypoglycemia in 200 hospitalized patients, evenly divided between non-critically ill and critically ill groups.

Review of Quality Audit in a Radiation Oncology Department in a Tertiary Care Hospital- 2 Year-Results.

Objectives: This study aimed to report the findings of comprehensive weekly quality audit of radiotherapy procedures conducted at our institute, assessing various domains including clinical notes, contour delineation, treatment planning, prescription accuracy, patient-specific quality assurance, and treatment set-up checks.

Material And Methods: The audit protocol, based on the Peer Review Audit Tool (PRAT) from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, evaluated six critical parameters: clinical decisions, contours, treatment prescriptions, plan evaluation, plan quality assurance, and daily treatment set-ups. Patients were assessed for changes categorized as no change, minor change, or major change.

Oncogenic stress induces p14 to inhibit MDM2, stabilize p53 and arrest the cell cycle. Under non-stress conditions, NPM1 stabilizes p14 in nucleoli, preventing its degradation and blocking p53 activation.
