Small cell osteosarcoma in gnathic bones in the maxilla: case report in a pediatric patient.

Small cell osteosarcoma (SCOS) is a rare variant of conventional osteosarcoma, characterized by tumor cells of small size and uniform morphology, which can lead to diagnostic confusion with other small cell tumors, requiring a detailed diagnostic approach. The manifestation in a child adds a degree of complexity, as the management of malignant tumours in paediatric patients requires specific considerations to minimize the long-term side effects of oncological treatment and preserve the structural and functional development of the orofacial region. This report concerns an 8-year-old female patient referred to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic with progressive swelling in the right maxillofacial region, initially asymptomatic, but progressing to pain and difficulty chewing.

Development, Validation, and Usability of a Virtual Game for Consciousness and Relaxation of the Pelvic Floor Muscles.

Background: Applicability of the virtual games has been increasingly added to rehabilitation treatments, including women's health interventions.

Objective: To develop a virtual interface designed to increase consciousness and relax the pelvic floor muscles, validate its content and appearance, and check the level of usability and satisfaction.

Methods: Physiotherapy specialists with experience in pelvic floor rehabilitation and database research were consulted to define the content.

In this work, a polymeric blend of polyaniline (PAni) and chitosan (Chi), modified with Sucrose Octaacetate (SOA), was synthesized and characterized using different techniques. The blend was used as an adsorbent to remove Remazol Black (RB) dye from aqueous solutions. The blend was synthesized using the chemical oxidation method with ammonium persulfate as the oxidizing agent.

Light/dark (LD) cycles are responsible for oscillations in gene expression, which modulate several aspects of plant physiology. Those oscillations can persist under constant conditions due to regulation by the circadian oscillator. The response of the transcriptome to light regimes is dynamic and allows plants to adapt rapidly to changing environmental conditions.
