Background And Objective: Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a vascular disease that may affect the retina. This study aimed to evaluate differences in average velocity (AV, mm/s), blood flow (BF, μL/min) and vessel diameter (VD, μm) from the temporal retinal arcades in SCD compared to healthy eyes using Doppler optical coherence tomography (DOCT).

This study draws on qualitative interviews ( = 52) and survey data ( = 791) from BH and CJ leaders across the United States to examine who is on them, what they do, and effective strategies for building and sustaining them. Findings indicated that CJ-BH interagency teams often incorporate agencies from a range of CJ, BH, social service, and health agencies.

We aimed to determine the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and oropharyngeal dysphagia as explanatory diagnoses, risk factors for acid suppression treatment, and risk factors for repeat hospital visit in infants hospitalized after brief resolved unexplained event (BRUE) using a multicenter pediatric database. We performed a multicenter retrospective database study of infants admitted with BRUE in the Pediatric Health Information System between 2016 and 2021. Data included diagnostic testing, explanatory diagnoses, treatment with acid suppression, and related repeat hospital visits within 6 months.
