Background: Opioids kill more people than any other drug. Naloxone is an opioid antagonist which can be distributed in take-home 'kits' for peer administration (take-home naloxone).

Aim: To determine the feasibility of carrying out a definitive randomised controlled trial of take-home naloxone in emergency settings.

Photophysical, thermal and imaging studies on vancomycin functional branched poly(-isopropyl acrylamide) of differing degrees of branching containing nile red for detection of Gram-positive bacteria.

Highly branched poly(-isopropyl acrylamide) additives chain end functionalised with vancomycin have been designed to agglutinate and report on targetted Gram-positive strains of bacteria (). These branched systems selectively desolvate with temperature or binding interactions depending on their chain architecture. We have prepared samples with three different degrees of branching which have incorporated Nile red acrylate as a low concentration of co-monomer to report upon their solution properties.

This review evaluates a pharmacist-led chronic care management (CCM) program partnered with a health system for patient outcomes and sustainability. How do emergency department staff respond to behaviour that challenges displayed by people living with dementia? A mixed-methods study.

Objectives: To investigate staff experiences of, and approaches to behaviour that challenges displayed by patients with dementia in the emergency department (ED). Behaviour that challenges is defined as 'actions that detract from the well-being of individuals due to the physical or psychological distress they cause within the settings they are performed', and can take many forms including aggressive physical actions, shouting and verbal aggression and non-aggressive behaviour including repetitive questioning, inappropriate exposure and resistance to care.

Design: Mixed-methods study consisting of an online survey and semistructured telephone interviews.
