Introduction: HPTN 071 (PopART) implemented a comprehensive HIV prevention package which aimed to reduce HIV incidence within 21 communities of Zambia and South Africa: Arm A, PopART intervention of universal HIV testing and treatment; Arm B, PopART intervention of universal HIV testing with ART provided according to local guidelines; and Arm C, standard of care. Analyses so far have not accounted for the sampling design of the enrolled cohort. We performed a sample-weighted re-analysis of the primary outcome of the PopART trial to derive a population-based estimate of the intervention effect.

species have considerable significance in terrestrial ecosystems, exhibiting a range of ecological lifestyles along the saprotrophism-to-symbiosis continuum. However, the mitochondrial genomes of these ascomycetous fungi have not been thoroughly studied, thereby impeding a comprehensive understanding of their genetic makeup and ecological role. In this study, we analysed the mitogenomes of 30 species, including yellow, black, blushing and false morels.

This Letter presents a search for highly ionizing magnetic monopoles in 262  μb^{-1} of ultraperipheral Pb+Pb collision data at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.36  TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. A new methodology that exploits the properties of clusters of hits reconstructed in the innermost silicon detector layers is introduced to study highly ionizing particles in heavy-ion data.

The pancreas tumor microbiota may influence tumor microenvironment and influence survival in early-stage pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC); however, current studies are limited and small. We investigated the relationship of tumor microbiota to survival in 201 surgically resected patients with localized PDAC (Stages I-II), from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) cohorts. We characterized the tumor microbiome using RNA-sequencing data.

This paper describes the social architecture model of school-based bullying behavior. The model proposes that the behavior of all students affects rates of bullying. Alongside self-reported victims and bullies, the model identified four bystander roles: assistant, reinforcer, outsider, and defender.
