Rationale And Objectives: The combination of functional biologic data and imaging appearance has the potential to add diagnostic information to help the radiologist evaluate breast masses in an efficient, effective, and cost-conscious manner. This is the first clinical evaluation of the Gen 2(Model 9100, 8101) Imagio® System to assess image quality with both the stand-alone internal ultrasound (IUS), ultrasound-only transducer, and the Optoacoustic/Ultrasound (OA/US) duplex probe (1,2). This study assesses palpable and non-palpable breast abnormalities in patients who are referred for diagnostic breast ultrasound work-up.

Utility of native emission quenching of erythrosine B for the determination of diltiazem in different dosage forms.

This study introduces a practical and cost-effective method for tracking diltiazem (DLZ) analytically. It utilizes a fluorimetric approach that relies on the modulation of fluorescence intensity of a dye called erythrosine B. Through a one-pot experiment performed in an acidic environment, a complex is rapidly formed between DLZ and erythrosine B.

Hemorrhagic Adverse Events of Transthoracic Needle Biopsy of the Lung in Patients with Pulmonary Hypertension: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Purpose: To compare the risk of hemorrhagic adverse events of transthoracic needle biopsy (TTNB) such as pulmonary hemorrhage and hemoptysis between patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) and patients without PH.

Materials And Methods: Database search and citation review of search results were performed for studies reporting frequency of hemorrhagic adverse events of TTNB in adult patients with evidence of PH compared with that in patients undergoing the procedure without evidence of PH. Random-effects meta-analysis was performed for both rates of pulmonary hemorrhage and hemoptysis.

Unconventional life history in a migratory shorebird: desegregating reproduction and migration.

Conventional life-history theory predicts that energy-demanding events such as reproduction and migration must be temporally segregated to avoid resource limitation. Here, we provide, to our knowledge, the first direct evidence of 'itinerant breeding' in a migratory bird, an incredibly rare breeding strategy (less than 0.1% of extant bird species) that involves the temporal overlap of migratory and reproductive periods of the annual cycle.
