Background: To compare the efficacy of letrozole-stimulated cycles to the more conventional artificial programmed cycles, in endometrial preparation for frozen embryo transfer (FET), in terms of endometrial parameters, reproductive outcomes, other practical parameters like number of visits to the clinic, cost involved, and patient satisfaction.
Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted at Rao Hospital for a period of 11 months. The study included a total of 152 cycles of frozen embryo transfers.
Background: Different clinical manifestations of leishmaniasis (cutaneous and visceral) caused by Leishmania donovani have been reported from Kerala, India. Leishmania donovani causing cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) (also called atypical CL [ACL]) is one of the major health concerns in the Western Ghats belt of the state.
Methods: Skin biopsies of 20 patients with suspected CL from Nilambur, Kerala, were processed for CL diagnosis during the period 2022-2023.
Plane-wave electrons undergo momentum transfer as they scatter off a target in overlapping spherical waves. The transferred momentum leads to target structural information to be encoded in angle and energy differential scattering. For symmetric, periodic, or structured targets this can engender diffraction in the electron intensity both in real and momentum space.

In this study, L. donovani specific kinetoplast minicircle DNA (k-DNA) sequence analysis was conducted to ascertain the genetic variability among the L.

The Leishmania species responsible for CL varies among countries, as these species exhibit specific distribution patterns. The increased mobility of people across countries has resulted in the imported incidences of leishmaniasis caused by non-endemic species of Leishmania.
