Universal coverage is defined by the World Health Organization as 1 long-lasting insecticidal net (LLIN) for 2 people in a household. While Uganda has been a leader in the distribution of LLINs, there are concerns regarding the longevity of LLINs. The main aim of this study was to address the LLIN coverage gap that emerges in the period after mass distribution campaigns through the implementation of a novel LLIN distribution strategy utilizing the existing community healthcare worker (CHW) infrastructure.

This study aimed to adapt evidence-based diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES) into a faith-based (FB) context for Hispanic communities and compare its effectiveness to a faith-placed (FP) approach using the church as a venue for DSMES delivery. A cluster-randomized trial was conducted among adults with type 2 diabetes from predominantly Hispanic churches. The churches were assigned to either the FB Group (nine churches, n = 146) or the FP Group (seven churches, n = 125).

The mechanisms underlying the establishment of asymmetric structures during development remain elusive. The wing of Drosophila is asymmetric along the Anterior-Posterior (AP) axis, but the developmental origins of this asymmetry is unknown. Here, we investigate the contribution of cell recruitment, a process that drives cell fate differentiation in the Drosophila wing disc, to the asymmetric shape and pattern of the adult wing.

Introduction: Targeted proteomic assays may be useful for diagnosing and staging Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). We evaluated the performance of a 120-marker central nervous system (CNS) NUcleic acid-Linked Immuno-Sandwich Assay (NULISA) panel in samples spanning the AD spectrum.

Methods: Cross-sectional plasma samples (n=252) were analyzed using Alamar's NULISAseq CNS panel.
