[The rehabilitation of patients following the surgical treatment of ischemic heart disease at a low-altitude health resort].

We developed well grounded differentiated methods of rehabilitation treatment in low mountains for patients after surgery for ischemic heart disease. Evaluation of the results was carried out with due account for variety of clinical course of the disease, condition of coronary and myocardial reserves of the heart and concomitant diseases. 475 males aged 22-65 years who underwent aorto-coronary bypass surgery for CAD were examined.

The immune status, i.e. T and B lymphocytes and their populations, was assessed after heart valve replacement or reconstruction in 70 patients with acquired heart defects.

Sanatorium treatment of patients with coronary heart disease performed in Kislovodsk 6-8 months after aortocoronary bypass leads to a substantial improvement of the functional status of patients without anginal episodes and with Functional Classes I and II angina pectoris.
