Purpose: To assess the diagnostic performance of hemoglobin concentration for Meckel's diverticulum (MD) and evaluate if hemoglobin levels could be useful in the surgical decision-making process of children with lower gastrointestinal bleeding (LGIB).
Methods: Retrospective cohort study of children with LGIB attending the emergency department between 2011 and 2021. Episodes of LGIB were divided into two groups: MeckD (MD diagnosed by surgery) and non-MeckD.
Purpose: Teclistamab is initiated with a step-up dosing (SUD) schedule to mitigate the risk of cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS). Early teclistamab users commonly received SUD in a hospital setting. This study aimed to evaluate safety and health care resource utilization (HRU) in real-world patients with multiple myeloma who initiated teclistamab SUD in an outpatient setting.

Although biomechanical impairments in components of the kinetic chain have already been reported in athletes with shoulder pain, such investigations in non-athlete individuals have not yet been synthesized.
Objective: To systematically review the literature and analyze the quality of evidence on the characteristics of the kinetic chain of non-athletes with shoulder pain compared to asymptomatic individuals.
Neurons deploy diverse adaptive strategies to ensure survival and neurotransmission amid cellular stress. When these adaptive pathways are overwhelmed, functional impairment or neurodegeneration follows. Here we show that stressed neurons actively induce a state of transmissive dormancy as a protective measure.
