Foraging during breeding is a demanding activity linked to breeding investment and possibly constrained by individual quality. Telomere length, the protective nucleoproteins located at the ends of the chromosomes, is considered a trait reflecting somatic maintenance and individual quality. Therefore, foraging effort and parental investment may be positively related to telomere length, if individuals with longer telomeres are of better quality and thus able to maintain better body condition and allocate more resources to parental activities.

If, however, NGS is not clinically indicated but still performed, the results may promote futile avenues of investigation, heighten patient distress, and increase cost.
Methods: We created criteria to approve NGS testing for MN (MN-NGS) with the goal of maximizing actionable results.
In every business, equipment requires repair services. Over time, equipment wears out; however, with well-conducted and guided maintenance, this degradation can be controlled, and failed equipment can be restored to operational status. Preventive maintenance allows this concept to be applied, given the great advantages for large companies in reusing equipment and machinery, always putting the worker's health and safety first.

This protocol proposes a study comparing the efficacy of ketamine and fentanyl, both combined with benzodiazepine, as sedation options for patients undergoing bilateral phacoemulsification.
Methods: In a randomized, double-blind, crossover clinical trial, at least 48 patients scheduled for bilateral cataract surgery will receive fentanyl with midazolam for one eye and ketamine with midazolam for the other.
