Immuno-informatics design of a multimeric epitope peptide based vaccine targeting SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein.

Developing an efficacious vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 infection is critical to stemming COVID-19 fatalities and providing the global community with immune protection. We have used a bioinformatic approach to aid in designing an epitope peptide-based vaccine against the spike protein of the virus. Five antigenic B cell epitopes with viable antigenicity and a total of 27 discontinuous B cell epitopes were mapped out structurally in the spike protein for antibody recognition.

Plunging ranula: surgical management of case series and the literature review.

Plunging ranulas are rare; report of this condition is particularly limited in our environment. We present case series in children; with all cases having both oral and cervical components. It is important to note this type of presentation of plunging ranula and their appropriate management.

An Audit of Malignant Oro-facial Tumors Presenting at a Tertiary Hospital in Lagos.

Oro-facial malignancies are reported to have a high mortality and morbidity, this is further worsened when patient report late. To analyze the malignant oro-facial lesions seen at a Hospital in the Lagos, Nigeria. Successive patients that presented in the hospital and met criteria of study during 15 months period were recruited into the study.

Pattern of presentation and management of lip injuries in a Nigerian hospital.

Aim: Human lip injuries, although uncommon, present major challenges in terms of reconstructive options and the outcome of surgical management. The reconstructive techniques are usually varied but the ultimate objectives of treatment are to achieve healing, function, and aesthetics. The aim of this study was to report the etiology, pattern of presentation, and surgical management of lip injuries in Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Clinicopathological characteristics of odontogenic myxoma in Nigerians.

Background: Odontogenic myxoma (OM) is a locally aggressive neoplasm whose clinicopathological characteristics have not been extensively reported in Nigerians.

Objective: To describe the clinicopathological characteristics of cases of OM seen at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria.

Methods: A review of both clinical and histopathological records of sixty-three cases of OM diagnosed over a period of thirty-seven years was undertaken.
