Background: The efficacy of transanal endorectal pull-through (TERPT) in treating classic Hirschsprung's disease may be enhanced by incorporating laparoscopic-assisted endorectal pull-through (LERPT). This study was done to compare the long-term outcomes of TERPT and LERPT in the treatment of classic segment Hirschsprung's disease.
Methods: Longitudinal study.
Introduction: Congenital short bowel syndrome (CSBS) is a rare congenital gastrointestinal disease and defined as a shortage of consecutive small bowel length present from birth. This syndrome is often accompanied by intestinal malrotation, reduction of peristalsis, and malabsorption.
Cases Presentation: This article reports on siblings carrying the Filamin A (FLNA) genetic mutation with CSBS The first case involved a child admitted to the hospital due to intestinal obstruction, undergoing four surgeries due to intestinal torsion with the remaining length of the small intestine only 60 cm, ultimately resulting in the child's death.
Background: Pubertal timing is modulated by complex interactions between the pituitary and gonadal sex steroid hormones. Evidence indicates that sphingolipids are involved in the biosynthesis of steroid hormones at multiple levels.
Method: This study recruited adolescent female patients from pubertal and pediatric endocrine clinics in Northern and Southern Taiwan from the Taiwan Puberty Longitudinal Study.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to characterize mental health issues among Vietnamese healthcare workers (HCWs) and to identify related factors.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 990 HCWs in 2021. Their mental health status was measured using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale.
Objective: Stress is a significant concern in medical education, and identifying effective ways to deal with stress may help with students' mental health and professional development. This study aimed to examine the effects of the Transforming Stress Program (TSP) amongst first-year medical students on their stress mindset and coping strategies when confronted with stressors.
Methods: We conducted a quasi-experimental study at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Purpose: Immunization is the most cost-effective health strategy, contributing significantly to public health interventions for all ages, particularly for children. However, caregivers' satisfaction with immunization systems affects their decisions on immunization for their children. This study evaluated the levels of clients' satisfaction toward child immunization and to identify its associated factors.

Here, we aimed to determine the prevalence of islet cell autoantibodies (ICAs) and glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 autoantibodies (GADAs) in children with T1D versus T2D living in Vietnam. This cross-sectional study included 145 pediatric patients aged 10.

Methods: A retrospective chart review was performed over 42 months at a safety-net pediatric hospital in Vietnam.
Results: From January 2019 to June 2022, the Swenson-like technique was implemented and performed on 139 patients (115 male, 24 female, mean age 6.

Yet, the use of routine MRI scans in girls with CPP is still debatable, as pathological findings in girls 6 years of age or older with CPP are limited. Therefore, we aimed to identify the prevalence of brain lessons in CPP patients stratified by age group (0-2, 2-6, and 6-8 years).

Interviews with 13 MD Q&S leads uncovered common enablers, including valuing Q&S work academically, hiring skilled collaborators, ensuring appropriate power and authority to advance Q&S initiatives, facilitating connections, emphasizing culture change and strong action by leadership. To operationalize these enablers and drive quality innovation, organizations should prioritize the identification and appointment of MD Q&S leads for each department/division and facilitate their assembly as a formal physician Q&S committee.

This study investigated the prevalence of cyber-victimization and its association with depression among students in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 1,492 students from eight secondary schools and high schools in four urban and suburban areas.
Background: A brief gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues (GnRHa) stimulation test which solely focused on LH 30-minute post-stimulation was considered to identify girls with central precocious puberty (CPP). However, it was tested using traditional statistical methods. With advanced computer science, we aimed to develop a machine learning-based diagnostic model that processed baseline CPP-related variables and a brief GnRHa stimulation test for CPP diagnosis.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 319 HCWs in charge of infectious disease prevention and control activities at all commune healthcare centers in Ho Chi Minh City. Participants completed a self-administered questionnaire which included the 36-item Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS).
Purpose: Little is known about the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on public health and preventive medicine students, particularly in resource-limited countries. This study evaluated stress level in this population in Vietnam and their coping strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Patients And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in April 2020 among 563 public health and preventive medicine students.
Among the genetic and environmental risk factors, nutrition plays a crucial role in determining the timing of puberty. Early menarche onset (EMO) is defined as when girls reach menarche onset at an age which is earlier than the mean/median age of menarche, between 12 and 13 years of age, according to individual ethnicity. The present study examined the association between nutrient intake in childhood and EMO risk in healthy girls by performing a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective studies.

Patient education is an essential part of cardiac patients' care targeting self-management behaviour to reduce risk factors and subsequent events. There has been no Vietnamese questionnaire to assess patient's knowledge about CAD; therefore, the purpose of this study was to translate, cross-culturally adapt and validate the Coronary Artery Disease Education Questionnaire-Short Version (CADE-Q SV) for use in Vietnam.

Overall mortality of HLH is greater than 50% and the majority of patients who die do so within the first 8 weeks of chemotherapy treatment. To find clinical parameters relating to high-risk HLH patients, this study examined associations between an early fatal outcome and potential prognostic clinical factors and laboratory findings on admission.

There is societal interest in understanding determinants of emotional well-being in adolescence, and the natural environment represents one potential determinant. Psychological and experimental research have each shown links between exposure to nature and both stress reduction and attention restoration.

Prevalence was calculated for physical fighting and weapon carrying along with physical and emotional measures that potentially result from violence.
